In memory of Thomas Ludwicki (1984–2009), UBC Mechanical Engineering has held an annual fundraiser since 2010 in his honour. Thomas is remembered as a kind and thoughtful individual, who left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

This event is an opportunity to remember his life, while coming together as a community to support an important cause. Please consider donating, as 100% of proceeds will go to the BC Cancer Foundation to help fund cancer research and care.

Learn tips and tricks to take your FDM printing projects to another level! From encapsulating objects to testing tolerances, this workshop will explore design techniques unique to FDM, and help you optimize your printed parts.

Dave Pelletier, P.Eng., is passionate about design for manufacturability. Bringing together more than twenty years of aerospace manufacturing, hobby printing at home, and his current role as the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Clarius, Dave has seen FDM emerge as a key tool for iterative design, and for getting products through production. Ask him how orange plastic parts reduced risk when building F-35 wings, or why printed clips can make your designs more printable with fewer supports!
