Reminder Call for Papers: 19th Annual Conference!

The Conference Committee for the 19th Annual BC Association for Behaviour Analysis (BC-ABA) Conference invites proposals for conference presentations on all behaviour analytic related topics. Submission of a proposal is understood to be a commitment to register for the conference.

Proposals must be received by November 2nd, 2026 in order to be considered. Authors will be notified by December 11th, 2026, whether their proposal has been accepted or rejected. Accepted presentations will be scheduled for live presentation on Saturday, February 27th, at UBC.

Authors should select the session format most appropriate to the type and extent of information they wish to offer. The Conference will include the following five formats: traditional paper, mini-seminar, panel discussion, and poster presentation.

We have added an evening session of this Learning Exploration!

Earlier this year, the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) announced upcoming changes to Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) services in BC.

This session by FSI Executive Director Angela Clancy will offer a clear overview of the changes. Using a simple journey map, we will walk through how families currently access supports, what the proposed model is intended to look like, and—most importantly—what is known with certainty versus what remains unclear.

The goal of this session is to equip everyone with accurate information so they can feel more informed during a time of significant uncertainty and change. We will also share how FSI is advocating to ensure family voices are heard and that no child, youth, or family is left behind as these changes are implemented.

Presentation of information that lends itself readily to visual display. Authors must be prepared to construct a poster board exhibit that can "stand alone" in conveying information. Authors are expected to be present during the poster session, which will take place during the lunch break. Accompanying handouts are encouraged.

Forty-five (45) minute presentations of original research, the nature of which can be case study-based, experimental (data-based), clinical, or topic review/synthesis. Traditional papers will be organized by topic in session blocks of 100 minutes, with two presentations per session, and a 10 minute question and answer period.
