When many people hear the word literacy, they think first of reading and writing.

But literacy reaches much further. It is also connected to how people manage money, understand health information, use technology, find work, support their families and participate in their communities.

This broader view lays bare the fact that literacy is not a single achievement. It is not something a person either has or does not have. Everyone has strengths. Everyone also has areas where they may need more information, practice or support.

If you or someone you know needs help with any of the above, give us a call at 250-566-4601 or email us at [email protected].
