August sessions are underway! From picking our snacks in the garden, making mud cookies, trying out our balance and testing our limits and our tastebuds- today was a great day!!

It’s taken me a minute to reflect, but last week hosted 18 incredible educators with the help of in at what is now known as in . As I think back to the experience of welcoming ourselves and others to a new landscape and getting acquainted with it- it always has many lessons to teach us. From extreme heat at the beginning of the week to cool rains by the end of the week. We learned that the Land is our teacher and it has much to reveal to us. I was able to reflect on this specific space with the help of and her book Geography of Blood. And acknowledge that I still have so much to learn and unlearn about my place here in the summer hunting grounds of Treaty 4 territory. I am so grateful that there are now 18 more individuals ready to take kids and youth outside to help them get reacquainted with the Land and all that it has to offer. Thank you for going on this journey with me!
