Little crab in the middle food dish.

My little Ecuadorian hermit crab. Trying to keep the poor little guy alive. I adopted him last week with a little Purple Pincher hermit crab who is very shy but in better health than the Ecuadorian. Trying to keep both alive and hope to get them healthy. The Ecuadorian was taped to the back of the tank with clear scotch or packing tape when I got them. And the substrate was soaking wet. Poor little guys. I hope they live through now that they’re in good conditions. Also a pic of what’s for dinner! 🦀💚

What’s for dinner for the hermit crabs! Tomato, apple, meal worms, chicken, carrot, ground flax seed, cheese, shelled sunflower seeds and chia seeds

2 little hermit crab rescues. Got them from a family who knew nothing about the care of hermit crabs. I don’t know if they’ll make it. I found the one on the left actually taped to the back glass of the tank with clear scotch tape. (They didn’t do this on purpose, they were trying to use the tape to secure a background coconut fiber mat). He was trapped like that for weeks, I don’t think he’s going to make it but I haven’t completely given up. He’s an Ecuadorian (on the left) and the one on the right is a Purple Pincher. He’s not doing great either but at least he’s moving around and eating. The Ecuadorian is frequently seen going around without a shell which makes him extremely vulnerable. I’m doing the best I can and will see if I can nurse them back to health.
