With spring a few months away we are getting ready to "dig deeper" to practice what our teacher JM & the Market Gardener Institute teaches! Our early spring cover crop will be oats and field peas. We will be inoculating our seeds with a Rhizobium to ensure that the seed packets have the bacteria that will inhabit the roots of the cover crops (peas especially) to be able to bind nitrogen in the air into the soil! Check out JM's video in the comments to learn more!

Second year of building our soils, overjoyed that it is less sandy as previous years, more insect activity overall and getting ahead of aggressive weeds better. Thank you to Market Gardener Institute and the masterclass for showing the way!

Our raspberry bushes in our former 20x20 garden is now a huge portion of our patch! We have kept it somewhat under control but we wanted to see what it wanted to do and has it ever been amazing to watch it! It used to be from our old house in Stouffville and was 10% the size! We brought both of them here and they went boom! Living their best life!
