🥇🥇Congratulations to SMSC’s Golden Girl Claire Daley for winning GOLD at the Canada Games in the ILCA Women’s fleet! 🥇🥇

SMSC's Claire Daly is part of Team Nova Scotia at the Jeux du Canada Games happening now in NFLD. Claire is sailing in the women's ILCA 6 and after 1 day of racing, she is sitting in 4th place.

Unfortunately racing was postponed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to wildfires in the area. Hopefully the fire is brought under control and everyone can once again focus on the athletes!

Claire recently represented Canada at the ILCA Youth Worlds in LA, where she came 2nd in the silver fleet (and won 2 races!). Claire is a dedicated sailor and example of how far you can go with hard work and determination. We're so proud of you Claire!

Hard to believe we are the end of our LTS season! Tonight is the Year-end Celebration and Awards, and the weather is looking great! We hope to see many of you there.

Note that items collected in the Lost and Found will be available for you to review - please collect any items that are yours. Left over items will be donated.

We will also be selling SMSC swag! See the photo for available items and support our club and LTS program!

Lastly, as per the note from Head Coach John, we will begin packing up the boats on Saturday morning (August 24). Many hands make light work, so please let him know if you're able to join (even an hour or two is helpful).

To help get everyone excited, Cool Bus Treats Ice Cream Truck will be at the club on Friday, July 18 from 3:00-7:00pm.
