Everyone has their own perceptions of you.

You can't change how they see or perceive you.

And most often, people try to change themselves in order to try changing the perception of others.

Don't change who you are, don't change your values, don't change your morals, don't change your ethics, personality, character, just to fit someone else's limited perception of you.

Be exactly who you are without apology, and the people who fight you or leave for it, are the ones YOU have OUTGROWN.

Sometimes when we see the light at the end of the struggle, the darkness we are still in can sometimes become overwhelming, making the end seem so much further than it really is.

That's when we need to remember to take a few deep breaths, ground ourselves, and remind ourselves to just put one foot in front of the other, and go through the motion of actually taking one step, then another, and another.

That's when the light will begin to surround us more than the darkness.

⁣One of the hardest things we can do is walk away from people we care about.⁣

Being the species we are that's dependent on social interaction, walking away from such interaction can leave us feeling lost, alone, like somethings missing inside us.⁣

That's the downside of growth.⁣

It also makes us think of "growing pains" like what we physically feel as kids when we're going through growth spurts.⁣

When we grow emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, professionally, etc., there's always going to be growing pains as we progress in life.⁣

Today, I am going through my own growing pains as I left a group of people I deeply cared for, considered to be friends, even like extended family.⁣

I realized this was not reciprocated anymore, and that I am no longer welcome in the group.⁣

The funny thing about telling people you're moving on beyond them, there's always going to be some who will speak up after, who will try to justify their own actions or inaction with excuses and blame, or will try to make you stay by professing they do want you to stay, they were just waiting for someone else to speak up first.⁣

The first step of true strength and growth after making it known you're moving forward beyond someone, is standing fast in your decision no matter how much you care for them, and want to remain back with them.⁣

I did that today and it hurts like hell.⁣

The one thing I'm focusing on, is the truth that this hurt is temporary, and better things are in store for me.⁣

You know that super happy, ready to take on the world, massively pumped, highly energetic feeling you REALLY LOVE, don't get enough of on a daily basic, and wish you had more of?

That's your serotonin levels at work!

Here's a few tips to heighten them so that you DO feel that way on a daily basis:

1. GET THAT WORKOUT/MOBIKITY IN!
- whether it's outside (best for cardio), in a gym, or at home, get your body moving!!! You can even break it up throughout the day in smaller time intervals to make it easier and keep your energy up!

2. AWESOME GRATITUDE = AWESOME ATTITUDE!
- when you feel low, stressed, anxious, etc. write down or say EVERY SINGLE THING you're grateful for! Nothing is too small to be grateful for!

3. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!
- if you're eating lots fried, greasy, and/or over saucy foods, change it up! Add more colourful veggies, add your chicken/beef/seafood to a salad, wrap the burger in lettuce, change that afternoon coffee with an apple!

4. NUTS AND SEEDS!
- buts and seeds are amazing to boost your serotonin levels, and best of all, you can add them to any meal and snack!

The Perception Of The Unknown⁣

When you think about the future, what feelings do you experience?⁣

Fear?⁣
Anxiety?⁣
Depression?⁣
Excitement?⁣
Determination?⁣
Anger?⁣
Joy?⁣

Now, take everything you had in your head about what you think, have planned, or expect your future to be like.⁣

Wipe the slate clean.⁣

Now, with absolutely nothing in your mind, think about the future. If something comes into your mind, wipe it away, keeping that slate clean, bare, empty.⁣

How does not being able to see, plan, or expect the future make you feel?⁣

Are your feelings different?⁣

Or the same?⁣

The future, is exactly how we perceive it to be.⁣

And like our emotions, plans, expectations, it's constantly changing, shifting, moving.⁣

I used to have a plan for what I expected my future to be.⁣

Married in my early 20's, having between 3-8 kids, if not more (I used to want up to 16 🤣), being a stay at home Mum, growing old with my husband, having grandkids and great-grandkids coming over for Sunday dinners and holidays, and spending most of my life out on a horse farm with my own little bakery on the property.⁣

That did NOT happen!⁣

I used to get really depressed, angry, I was beyond confused, wondering why my plans, the expectations of me, weren't panning out like they were "supposed to".⁣

Now, being in my mid 30's, I no longer have set in stone expectations for my future. Because I know now that the future I may want, most likely isn't the future I'm meant live.⁣

My perception when I think about my future is no longer full of anger, depression, or confusion.⁣

My perception for my future is calm, excited, and fluid like water, because the future... isn't set in stone. It's fluid like water as well.⁣

All Knowledge Is Power. Not All Power Is Positive.⁣

Growin up, most, if not all of us, hear the saying "Knowledge is power, so learn all you can in life". And yet, everywhere in the world we see power being used and abused by so many people.⁣

I've seen, and have even known some people who chose to "Dumb down" because they didn't want the power they saw happening around them.⁣

A very big misconception is that being powerful must mean being corrupt, negative, doing the immoral, and hurting others. After all... that's what we see in the news about governments, armies, corporations, businesses, heck, even right down to relationships of ordinary people.⁣

However, there is a different side to power we aren't shown on a daily basis.⁣

Being knowledgeable can be an extremely POSITIVE power for a whole lot of good.⁣

When scientists use their knowledge to save animals, environments, cure sick people, and even provide quality of life to those animals and humans alike through surgical procedures.⁣

There is positive power that spreads when people get to know who they are, love and accept themselves, and teach others how to do the same, like Tony and Sage Robbins.⁣

All knowledge is power, and it's something every single person has access to.⁣

There are 3 things every person needs to do in order to get that positive power from knowledge.⁣

1. We have to have the OPEN MINDSET to acknowledge there is something to learn every day.⁣

2. We have to CHOOSE to learn CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY.⁣

3. We have to IMPLEMENT and SHARE that which we learn with the INTENT to bring POSITIVITY to ourselves and those around us.⁣

Everyone is ABLE to learn...⁣

The question is: Are we WILLING to learn?⁣

Achieving a goal or dream is such an incredible feeling!!!

Today, I achieved a knitting goal and dream I've had for nearly a decade!⁣

I finally completed my first ever poncho!⁣

I know to a lot of people that may seem like "oh big whoop... what does that actually do for you?"⁣

Well, let me tell you.⁣

Before I took on the project to knit a poncho, I actually had a fear of failure toward new knitting projects.⁣

I also faced the end fearful thought of "What now?!"⁣

In addition to these fears, I also face my ADHD kicking in when following a particular pattern which has, in the past, led me to getting bored with the lroject, and ending up completely destroying it.⁣

However, I've been working a lot on my "Go!" Mindset this year thus far, and this is the first goal I've achieved for myself!⁣

Not only have I conquered my fears, I'm extremely proud of the end result, I'm driven even more to achieve my other goals, and I can't wait to try other pattern types this year I've been too afraid to try!⁣

Dreading Mondays like an approaching storm in the distance?

We hear it and say it all the time.

"I hate Monday"

"Mondays are the worst"

And so on and so forth.

Monday, is just another day we get to live, if we are blessed enough to wake up in the morning.

It's the "Dreaded Mondays" mindset that we are conditioned with over time that makes Mondays seem like such a negative thing.

So, how do you change a mindset that has been ingrained in your mindset since you were little?

Well, a good way to start is by doing the 10/10/10 Mindset Changer.

Here's what you do:

In a daily journal, or somewhere where you'll see it, every Sunday or Monday morning, write out:

10 Things I Am Grateful For
10 Things I love About Myself
10 Things I'm Going To Accomplish This Week

This will help take your mind from what's negative and switch it's focus to what's positive.

It will also help you keep your momentum up for the week, help you stay consistent, accountable, and feeling good.

You can also do this 10/10/10 Mindset Changer any day or time you feel down, stressed, anxious, or any other negative feeling!

So save this post for the next time you're feeling glum about the approaching Monday, or any negative feeling!

What Pickles And Gen Pop Positive Mindset Have In Common⁣

I bet you're asking "Wtf could Pickles and a positive mindset possibly have in common???"⁣

Well... for most people in the world... it's this:

They tend to drift toward a negative mindset daily. And it usually starts in the morning, the moment the alarm blares, jolting you out of a blissful comfy sleep.⁣

And as the day goes on, it seems to be one thing after another, sn*******ng, and before you know it, you're getting ready for bed in a negative mindset and you lay your head down thinking about everything that went wrong or didn't happen at all.

And then, out of the blue, you wake up feeling amazing, happy, and everything during your day goes beyond perfect.⁣

Most people will eat the regular, routine, mundane foods, and every once in a while, they'll get a craving for the salty, vinegary, garlicky pickles that changes things up with their tastebuds, and just brings this incredible, blissful inner sigh of relief as they gorge themselves on the rare pickle treat.⁣

Then, things go back to the way they were. The mundane and negative.⁣

When you think about those rare days everything is great and you're in such a positive mood and mindset, it's like nothing could bring you down... how does that make you feel?⁣

Happy?⁣
Excited?⁣
Do you get a spring in your step?⁣
Is your smile plastered on your face and completely contagious?⁣

Do you like the feelings you experience when those rare days happen?⁣

If you could... what would you do to have more of those days? What would you do to have those days your normal daily life, and the rare days be the negative ones?⁣

In order to start a new chapter, a chapter needs to end first.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Whether it's a stage in life, a new age, a relationship, being single, a new place to live, starting a job.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In order to start something, something needs to end first.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sometimes we are forced into ending a chapter that we are enjoying.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Someone telling us we aren't a good fit for a job, a birthday into a whole new decade that throws into sharp relief that which wasn't accomplished in the prior, someone saying they no longer want to be in the relationship or marriage, facing a relocation because of lack of finances, a job promotion.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
There are endless reasons as to why the chapter we are in needs to end.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The biggest reason is because for one reason or another, we are meant to move forward.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And a lot of the time, moving forward, especially when we aren't feeling prepared for it, or when we don't want to, it becomes very uncomfortable and most often we fight the transition.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are taught to "get used to how things are".⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That's our biggest downfall for being able to move forward.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What if you took a set amount of time to be angry, upset, cry, etc. and then choose to accept what is as it is and be open to what may come that could be even better?⁣⁣

"I Don't/Didn't Have A Choice"⁣

Have you ever wondered who came up with that limiting belief/excuse?⁣

I sure have, and still do.⁣

When it's used most, it's what's said to excuse an act that someone chose to do instead of doing what they know they should have or could have.⁣

Mostly, it's when someone acts to hurt, and then says "I had no choice", or even projects blame by saying "You gave me no choice".⁣

We always have a choice, no matter what.⁣

I used to believe I had no choice other than to keep helping the people who used and abused my passion for helping.⁣

I thought in order to be loved, accepted, I had no choice but to always give everything I had to others.⁣

The truth, however, was something I found 5 years ago.⁣

When I started loving myself, accepting myself, first, and saw I had the choice to say "No" when those other people demanded I help them, that's when I started to see all the choices I had open to me.⁣

That's when I started to truly live a fulfilling life!⁣
