The Actuarial Students' National Association (ASNA) is the largest gathering of actuarial students in North America. It is Canada's largest actuarial career fair with over 600 students from universities across Canada and 30 top actuarial companies attending.

MAS will be holding an info session about the annual convention, which will be held in-person from January 14th to 16th, 2022. The Info Session is on November 1st, 2022 at 5:30 local Hamilton time. We will be explaining the registration process and fees, as well as presenting the schedule and many opportunities that the convention has to offer, followed by a short Q&A period.

TD is hosting an Data and Analytics Information Session to discuss all coop terms and associate opportunities available within the business. This one-hour session takes place on September 9th at 1:00-2:00PM EST with two of our Early Talent Recruiters, Alessandra and Sean as well as several associates from our D&A department (targeting undergrads and graduate students). The session focuses on a meet and greet format with skilled employees, as well as an open Q and A to field any inquiries students may have about opportunities within analytics.



Along with the information session, a copy of our TD e-magazine will be sent out shortly to better inform students about opportunities for winter and summer coop work terms as well as associate programs starting in both January and July of 2022.



The session will utilize WebEx technology and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. A survey monkey link is attached to the email for students to sign up. Once signed in, students will be sent an invite to the session as well as an invitation the recruiter's personal WebEx room.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is seeking a motivated and passionate student who is pursuing a career in actuarial science to become an ambassador for the CAS Student Central membership program. As a CAS Student Central Ambassador, you will act as a champion for the CAS and property and casualty actuarial profession at McMaster University by:

- Helping to facilitate CAS University Liaison campus visits and presentations each semester
- Increasing student awareness of the resources and opportunities available through CAS Student Central on campus
- Assisting with the development of CAS Student Central

The McMaster Actuarial Society is pleased to announce the upcoming networking/ information session hosted by the Ontario Conference of Casualty Actuaries (OCCA), an organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the Property and Casualty (P&C) field for actuaries.

Details:
The event will be hosted by OCCA on March 23, 2021 from 5:00-6:30pm and the meeting will be held via the Microsoft Teams link below. There is no registration required, however you must be a McMaster student (any program), staff or alumni to attend.

Scholarship

The OCCA is also providing an amazing scholarship to develop students’ awareness of the property/casualty actuarial field and to encourage the pursuit of the FCAS and FCIA designations. The program will provide up to five $1,000 scholarships to students who are currently enrolled at a university in the province of Ontario, in an Actuarial Science program, and in which one winner will be a McMaster student.
