The Women's Centre is a feminist organization that provides numerous services accessible to all students and a space where students can relax or study.

The University of Regina Women's Centre provides safe and supportive space for all students, regardless of gender, to access services or just come hang out and relax, read, study or visit. At the Women's Centre you will find:

Meeting Regulations & Voting Eligibility

All bylaws and relevant University policies (e.g., Respectful University) must be followed.

Protective Services officers and Women’s Centre student volunteers will be on site.

The venue has a maximum capacity of 600, which will not be exceeded.

The event is public, will be recorded and livestreamed, and privacy cannot be guaranteed. Attendance implies consent to be recorded.

Attendees are expected to engage respectfully and constructively.

The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Voting Eligibility

Only Regular and Associate Members in good standing of the University of Regina Women’s Centre are eligible to vote or cast a ballot in referenda, elections, and general meetings.

Associate Members are women enrolled for credit or audit at the University of Regina who pay U of R Students’ Union fees. They are automatically considered associate members unless otherwise specified in the Centre’s constitution.

Regular Members are students (female or male) who have volunteered with the Women’s Centre for a minimum of 90 days over an 18-month period.

Only women—as Associate Members or female Regular Members—are entitled to vote. Male Regular Members may attend and speak but do not have voting rights.

All members may attend, speak, and make submissions at general or board meetings.

Yesterday I went to get our posters stamped at URSU and found this faery princess 😍 North, you are a breath of fresh air.

I got to meet some of the women that frequent the centre 🥰🥰 I asked them and protective services how the centre is doing and all advised everything is great and they are feeling safe.

Honestly, when you walk into the centre the heaviness that was there seems to have lifted.

The University of Regina Women’s Centre is OPEN

Our hours remain 8:30 AM – 4 PM, and campus security is ensuring the safety of the space and everyone who visits.

While recent tensions have been directed more toward the board than the centre itself, we remain committed to keeping the space open as long as it is safe to do so.

For now, the board is working remotely and can be reached via Instagram, Facebook, our website, or email. Please be patient with us—we are navigating a challenging situation and appreciate your support.

***As a reminder, our board is entirely volunteer-based, and we balance this work alongside full-time jobs, studies and caring for our families. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we manage this situation.****
