NEW PROJECT! FTLOA is now asking for your help to raise a remaining amount of $5,000 to support the Medical Clinic in Nkuhungu, Tanzania!
FTLOA already has donor-committed funds of over $10,000 and is asking for your help in raising a remaining $5,000 for this important project. The funding will go to restock medicines and help staffing at one of FTLOA's most successful projects, the Medical Clinic at Nkuhungu. The Clinic has been operating continuously since 2007 and needs help recovering fully from COVID times, when many of the Clinic's patients were unable to attend and most of the medicine stock expired. Your money will immediately have a big impact and help restore sustainability of this important community project! Any funding in excess of the amounts needed will go to one of FTLOA's other important projects in Tanzania. No part of your donation will be used for FTLOA administrative costs, so every dollar ends up being spent on the ground in Tanzania.

In 2019, a team traveled to the community of Ndachi, Tanzania to help with some finishing work for the Nehemia Nursery Primary School. Since our visit the Tanzanian Government regulations have been updated to include the need for a permanent security fence for the safety of the students and the protection of the school property. Our current project is to fund the construction of a security fence.
The School was registered on 18th December 2021 and the Certificate was issued on 18/1/2022. The registration has been attained with the support of FTLOA who funded the necessary infrastructure, including classrooms, administration block and temporary fence. The Education Quality Authority has issued the Certificate with the expectation that a permanent fence will be erected to enhance the safety of children and the school infrastructures and properties within one year. The Ndachi Community will be providing the labour and FTLOA will fund the materials. FTLOA is raising funds for this project and with your support we can complete this project that began in 2019.
Every donation will help secure the school registration and ensure present and future students will have the opportunity to attend school, and their parents will have peace of mind that their children are safe. Our goal in the next couple of months is to raise $25,000 for this final step to complete the Nehemia Nursery Primary School project. Please donate online @ www.fortheloveofafrica.ca, by mail or e-transfer to [email protected].
Asante Sana
