From all of us bunnies at the Mount Pleasant Brass to you, Happy Easter!
Under the direction of Jim Tempest, the group performs a wide variety of music arranged for brass ensemble.
Since its inception in 2010, the MPBE has provided an opportunity brass musicians to explore a vast repertoire of music composed and arranged specifically for the instrumentation of the ensemble. Every performance provides an enjoyable listening experience for the audience while presenting a satisfying musical challenge for the ensemble’s members.

If you’re an aspiring conductor or educator, consider attending the Saito Conducting Workshop in Saskatoon. Wayne Toews is a brilliant teacher who studied in Japan with Saito’s protege, Morihito Okabe, and wrote the English version of the text.
This workshop is ALL about conducting. Participants get several hours of podium time every day with instruction from Wayne or another member of his team. The week ends with a recital during which every member conducts a string orchestra.
