• My Criminal Record Check is clear. My CFSA check is clear, and First Aid is completed.
• I have taken the following courses at Family Center: Basic Parenting, Parenting the special need child, 123 magic.
• Also have taken the courses required by Social Services to be a foster parent. Was a foster home for about a year.
• I have completed the Orientation to Childcare course, which has qualified me with the Province as a Child Development Assistant (ECE 1). My day home program offers:
• Child centered programming
• Accessible play centers
• Transportation to and from area schools is available. Previous to becoming a child care worker, my daughter was in both day care centers and a dayhome. The dayhome fit her needs best. She loved it and has made tremendous progress. I love the format and the flexibility. My goal is to make the children in my care feel like a part of my little family. I am willing to adapt my program for children with special needs, and know from personal experience the flexibility required on the providers part to do so effectively.
