The Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Evan & Neva Johnson Music Bursary:

Each recipient has been awarded a $1,500 bursary in recognition of their dedication, talent, and commitment to musical excellence.

The Evan & Neva Johnson Music Bursary honours the legacy of Evan and Neva Johnson and supports young musicians as they pursue their educational and artistic goals. This year's recipients were selected from an impressive group of applicants from across Newfoundland and Labrador, making this achievement even more noteworthy.

We congratulate these outstanding young musicians and wish them every success as they continue their musical journeys. Your hard work, passion, and dedication are truly inspiring.

The studio set up looked a little different this week, but we made it through the first week back with a six week old.

Sullivan slept his way through lots of this week’s lessons and it was so great to see everyone back! ❤️🎵

Hi everyone!

Things have been quiet at the studio for the last month, but have been quite busy everywhere else!

Baby Sullivan made his arrival the day after the Kiwanis Music festival. He just knew that he needed to stay put until Momma could finish work!

We are all doing well and Wesley has been such a great big brother and little helper.

Studio families stay tuned and keep an eye on your email because the studio will be re-opening soon for a little while. Please note that there may be some scheduling changes as I navigate teaching with my little family. I can’t wait to see everyone. 🤍🎵

Huge congratulations going out to Burton Broderick and Autumn Bath who were called back to the festival highlights show to finish off the Kiwanis week due to their outstanding performances. Both students also won adjudicator discretionary awards!

A big shoutout to Emersyn Greenham who was also asked to perform at the highlights show, but was unable to attend due to other commitments.

Way to go everyone on a successful Kiwanis week, you should all be so proud! ❤️🎵
