Power Performance Horses is owned and operated by Katherine Oster, she works with horses & riders he She offers horse training and riding lessons.

Katherine Oster uses a blend of Basic Dressage training and natural horsemanship to help horses and riders communicate more effectively. There's nothing like that feeling of "thinking" what you want want to do with your horse and having it actually happen. She uses "Systematic Gymnastic training" to build strength in the horse and it also helps the rider develop "feel" when these exercises are exe

I am so proud to say 🥹 Erika Catlos has done a fantastic job starting Willow under saddle 💕 Willow has been enjoying the time and the work. For anyone that knows Weston (Marilyn Napper handsome boy 🦄) Willow is his half sister (same Dam - Roxy) and she dos remind me a lot of him especially in temperament and mind.

Willows sire is Style from Sinclair’s Flying S ranch Shauna Edwards

The grand plan was for Willow to
Be a horse for Helena, however Helena is happier to have an older broke horse around that she can ride once in a while - not be committed to the consistency that a young horse needs at this time.

We are offering Willow for sale - she will make a great partner!

Willow will be available for viewing with Erika, near marwayne, AB.

If you are interested, message Erika to make arrangements for a test ride 😍

Willows video is in the comments

Life has such a way of teaching us….. Whether or not we are willing to learn is up to us.

Unplanned events - circumstances - accidents have a way of giving me different perspectives.

FOR ME: once I hurt my ankle - I had a fairly strong sense I would be back in the saddle after 3 weeks → I WAS! I started riding last week - AND - I was back in for my pilates session with Stephanie last week too! And then again today!!! Steph is so impressed with how my ankle is healing.

The sense I had wasn’t hopeful - I didn’t “hope” I would be riding in 3 weeks - I KNEW!

This makes me smile because I feel the connection I have been building with my body over the past 3-4 years has been strengthening.

I listen so much more, not only to myself but also to my horses - my family - everything!

I have been building presence, strength, connection through pilates, fasting and meditating. I am learning and discovering what a healthy, happy body is for me (and my body).

I am feeling so comfortable and confident in my own skin - IT’S SO GOOD! And not what I expected to happen at all.

Looking back I believe this started with the choice I made to start a pilates practice and enroll in pilates training. My target was to become a more effective rider in the saddle…. Little did I know what I was really building.

Strength builds control

Strength builds lightness

Strength builds confidence

= PEACE & PRESENCE

We live our lives one choice at a time - We get to choose again… and again… and again.. There’s no wrong choices, only learning… Today I am choosing THIS and I am so grateful for all of it and everyone

🦄 CLINIC OPPORTUNITY 🦄
I have a spot available in our next Lindsey Stroh Dressage clinic 😍

DATE: August 8/9
at our farm located afew miles south of St Walburg, SK.

2 x 45 mins private lessons - $300
Overnight pen / stall is available

Lindsey is a phenomenal coach, she can work with horses and riders of all ages and abilities. The way she can describe to the rider how to be more effective with their seat and have it improve the horse in a clinic is - WOW!

The basics of dressage (rhythm, suppleness, contact) will improve the basic connection of horse rider allowing them to excel in any discipline. A dressage clinic is not just for dressage riders. This is a great opportunity to work with Lindsey - we get her back every other month for clinic so continued coaching is available.

ABOUT LINDSEY:
Lindsey is a Canadian Grand Prix dressage rider, trainer and Equestrian Canada certified coach, 2005, based in Edmonton, Alberta

Lindsey commits to her continued development; she trains and competes in California most winters at Arroyo Del Mar, home of Shannon and Steffen Peters. She puts a priority on her own education to ensure she maintains a high standard in both her riding and coaching.

Lindsey has been named to the Equestrian Canada High Performance list repeatedly, trained several horses to the FEI level and represented Canada at CDIs in Canada and the US from Young Riders to Grand Prix. In addition, she has obtained a BSC in Kinesiology and certification as a STOTT Pilates instructor giving her a strong understanding of rider biomechanics.

Check out her website as well - link in the comments ✨

🦄 WILLOW 🦄 is growing into a big girl 😍
She’s been at school with Erika Catlos - Travelling light training - since the beginning of June for kindergarten and she’s going into grade 1 already 🎉🙌 Erika has done a fabulous job with her - building willingness and confidence in Willow as she’s learning about becoming a saddle horse 🐎

I’m proud of this girl / her temperament / her mind are exceptional - kind, caring, willing and building courage 💕 she reminds me so much of her mom, Roxy 🥹

The plan for Willow was to be Helena’s horse, however Helena is wanting to have a golf cart and possibly a dirt bike 😳 rather than a horse….. yes she’s 13 now 😂🤪

Willow will be offered for sale later this month, she’s going to make someone special a great partner 🦄

🚨PSA🚨Equine therapy products and treatments are not only good for the horse…. They are good for the rider too 😂

Horses have a way of training me …… inviting me to get stronger in ways that I am weaker…. as I work with them and invite them to do the same.

For the partnership to grow - both parties have to grow individually.

The partnership can only be as great as the limiting factor, whether that is the horse &/or the rider.

I’m not just talking about physical growth, mental and emotional growth are just as important.

Physical strength can be present but if there’s anxiety, impatience, force…. There will be no or very limited, relaxation and harmony.

I rolled my ankle catching a certain spicy and sassy RED HEAD who had joyfully escaped her pasture on Thursday morning - my ligaments are not happy and thankfully there’s no broken bones.

Currently my training involves being patient….. Learning to live at a new pace - SLOW & STEADY.

Allowing others to look after me and teaching them to do things I would be doing but can’t be doing right now.

I can also see how slowing down, with my horses, (and life) will end up getting us further ahead faster.

It never hurts the young ones to have a break, especially when they are super smart and extremely quick learners.

Izzy and I have experienced so much growth together, a little time to let things settle is sometimes just what’s needed - and I know I would never choose that on my own necessarily.

When I swing my leg over and sit in the saddle next time, I am going to be different - I am going to be stronger where I was weaker… I am going to be slower and much more patient which will have a different effect and create a greater partnership.

I can't wait 🎉 Until then, I am learning new lessons 😍
