With safety protocols and physical distancing still in place not bringing as many folks to our library doors, and in our pursuit to do our part as Dal Libraries to slow the spread of COVID-19, our seed library inventory has an opportunity to be transformed into a community asset, “Growing Together, Apart” garden kits!

Limited quantities available. Pick yours up today at the MacRae Library, Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture! Hours of operation can be found at https://libraries.dal.ca/hours-locations/macrae.html

Inside this envelope you will find several varieties of seeds for your home garden, brief instructions for sowing those seeds, seed saving instructions, and fact sheets from the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture’s Extended Learning Department. These fact sheets contain resources for gardeners new and old, including some concepts behind gardening practices. More tip sheets are available online at www.dal.ca/about-dal/agricultural-campus/about/gardens/garden-box.html

There is no expectation or request for seed to be returned to our seed library, this is our gift to you in gratitude for all our community does to nourish us.
