Final day of art camp ⛺️
Today we made printed flowers in vases🌸 painted flamingos 🦩 and finished our dioramas 🦆

Lots of fun was had by all 🥳🌈🦋✨

Because we are so close to Victoria Park, we are painting some animals that we see in the park. Last year we were lucky enough to see some owls. So we painted them!!

Mother Nature is the best teacher!

Last week I held the last summer art camp in Victoria Park. We had a wonderful time creating and being inspired by nature.

More art camp fun! Every year we decorate a tshirt, usually with tie dye. This year we made batik tshirts, using toothpaste as the resist and fabric paint for the ink. The results were awesome 😎

Due to Covid this year’s art camp is 💯 % nomadic and outdoors. Today we were chilling out and sketching the Waterfalls in Victoria Park. It’s a wonderful place for some plein air painting 🎨 🌳

Sam, who painted this image (of a much younger version of herself and her pet dog at the beach) has continued to enjoy art lessons during the pandemic via FaceTime.

I enjoy the connection as much as she does during these times of self isolation, and it’s wonderful to see beautiful things being created during these challenging times. She certainly is very talented 👏 🤩👩‍🎨🎨

One of my students is brightening up her/our days by creating new art every day. She is such an inspiration to us all and a talented young lady.
