We have space in our spring Seedlings program, ages 5-7!

Seedlings meet Tuesdays from 9:00-4:00 in Victoria Park from Apr 14, 2026 - May 12, 2026 for $275.00.

Our programs are the perfect way to welcome the changing seasons and to give your child a small break from school. They will attend Forest School once a week for 5 weeks.

**That’s a Wrap on Our 2025 Forest School Season!**

What a year it’s been! As the leaves fall and the forest settles into its winter rhythm, we’re wrapping up another wonderful season of Forest School. We spent a combined 600 hours with more than 150 kids discovering, connecting and growing in Victoria Park. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our programs this year!

This season was full of exciting changes and memorable moments. One of our biggest milestones was transitioning from a sole proprietorship to a not-for-profit organization — a major step that will help us deepen our roots and expand our impact in the years ahead. We also welcomed our very first summer student through the provincial SKILLS program, bringing fresh ideas and energy to our team. Thank you Maddy!

And this year, we officially became a member of Nature Nova Scotia — another exciting step in growing our connections and advocacy for outdoor learning across the province.

We’re deeply thankful to the Town of Truro and the Department of Parks and Recreation for continuing to support our work and for trusting us to share this beautiful space with the community. We're also grateful to the Multiplicity of Colchester, who awarded us with a grant that we used to purchase new gear and to boost our Forest School Fund.

A few standout moments from the season include our fire days in Millbrook — always a favourite! — and successfully navigating the woods ban, which brought some unexpected challenges but didn't slow us down! We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we sorted things out.

To our staff and volunteers: thank you for enriching our programs with your passion, expertise, and care. You make the forest school the special place it is.

As we tuck in for the winter and the forest school goes into hibernation, we’re already looking ahead to what 2026 will bring. Keep an eye out for our new schedule and registration dates — they fill up fast, so make sure you’re on our mailing list if you’re not already!
