Hi!! 👋 It’s been a minute. Anyone else got baggage?! 😅😂🤣

Long story short, I do believe we lived a lifetime since the start of summer. This was THE most challenging (and rewarding!) few months of LIFE — simultae!! 🙃🙂‍↕️😭🤪😍🤩

Tons of sacrifices, pivots, adjustments, milestones, mileage, and core memories were made — to. The. MAX!! It nearly broke me numerous times — yet I somehow managed to channel my inner bamboo and bend without (fully) snapping haha! Proud of my fam is an understatement. 😮‍💨💪🤯

Not only did we survive, we’re fully alive — and thriving in a really great place (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually). Finally. Thank Heavens!! More so, thanks to our ride-or-fly’s (who helped always, in all ways): the greatest friends and fam on the planet — you know who you are. 🥹🙏💝

My family and I have been on an intense journey since April 2023, it’s just now feeling like we’re on the upswing out of the trenches. I don’t always share details, but believe you me, this past year & a half is one for the BOOKS!! Perhaps one day I’ll elaborate. 📚

Looking forward to getting back in a groove of creating, sharing, and (hopefully) inspiring — like you know I love to do. I’ve learned SO much throughout this experience — needs to spill the tea, I do! (Said like Yoda haha!!) 😘☕️🍿

Helloooo Summer!! The first two weeks of our fave season were lit!! ☀️☀️☀️

The sunshine came back after a couple weeks of rain, and we got up to a ton of fun — including Spanish + Homeschool lessons, extracurricular classes for the kiddos, explorations around Playa, delicious meals out (& in!), pool play, play dates, family walks, beach club festivities, movie nights, and heaps of quality time together. 🥰🙏💞

The kiddos and I also safely made it through Hurricane Beryl — our first tropical storm here — and we’re beyond grateful it was gentle on us. The aftermath of the storm was present all around, it sure was an experience to witness — from the preparations by locals beforehand to the cleanup afterwards — just, wow!! 🤯🌀😱

Only a handful of days left to go before we head back North to Can-Can land! Gonna soak this all up as much as we can in the meantime. Pura vida, amigos! 🤗💞✌️

Farewell to the last bit of spring! 🌼🌷🌻

We closed out this beautiful season with more exploring around Playa, discovered a market full of local fruits and veggies, went swimming, did homeschool + Spanish lessons, extracurricular classes for the kiddos (+ solo lunch dates for Mama haha!), Jungle Kids Club play, family walks, a visit to the Azul Cenote, checked out neighbouring communities, café dates, Father’s Day, played games, had movie nights, cooked, cleaned, cabbed, annnnd got caught in the rain! Soooo much rain these past couple weeks lol!! 🌦️☔️🌈

Everything has become extra lush and green with the amount of rain we’ve had though, it sure is purdy. It seems as if we’ve switched weather with our peeps up north, soooo - we’ll be back soon for summerrrr!! Gotta chase that sun haha!! 😎☀️🙌

It’s been a minute! Here’s a little wrap up of the past couple for the memory bank. 🥰🙏🇲🇽

We homeschooled & practiced Español erryday, had pool & café dates, family walks, chores, fabulous lunches & dinners out, explored around the community, went to the jungle kids club, self-cared, played board games, had movie nights, went to a private beach club, and took a day trip to Cozumel via ferry where we explored half the island in an afternoon! Phew! Lol!! 😅🙌🫠

The kiddos also started classes at a private school for Tae Kwon Do & Ballet this past week. So grateful to be welcomed into this incredible community here!! 🥹🥋🩰

When we say this place keeps getting better and better, we aren’t kidding. PDC sure is one of the most beautiful spots on the planet we’ve ever seen! 😍🏝️💞

How do we sum up the last couple weeks in Playa? One word: SUNSHINE!! ☀️☀️☀️

Seriously, all this consistent daily sun is something we’ve literally never experienced for such long durations in all our lives, it truly makes a world of wonders. 🥰🙏💞

With loads of vitamin D, a trip to our local Walmart (which may not seem all that fun, but it is when they have magnetized ramps for the carts and it’s your kid’s first time lol!), epic dinners out, play time at the Jungle Kids Club, homeschooling, Spanish lessons, café dates, pool play, exploring, quality time with friends + family, movie nights, and reading (including our new book by our fave Nature School Teacher turned Author, Mrs. Donna!), it’s been another jam-packed bunch of days. 💯💯💯

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows when embarking on such a massive adventure, and even though challenges continue to present themselves (some new, and some in familiar ways), at the very least we sure are lucky to be in such a beautiful place. 🌴☀️🇲🇽

Pura vida, amigos! Let’s get out there and live our bests lives! 🙌🙌🙌

Catching up on the past couple weeks that were full of exploring beautiful PDC, Mexico! 😍🙌🇲🇽

📚We finally made it to one of the local libraries, which was super cool as they have quite the collection including a kid’s room, and loads of children’s books — some in English too!

🔭We also went on a field trip to the PDC Planetario (Planetarium) where we had a private tour of the facilities, including the observation tower where we observed the sun up close, the giant dome to watch some space films, and a community Lego building afterwards! We learned SO much!!

🗺️And of course we took time to explore around town, hit up the beach, and tried some new food spots — all of which we LOVED!!

😍Add in a successful visit to the Dentist for routine cleanings, play dates with friends, homeschooling fun, Spanish lessons, family movie nights, plenty of pool dates, and Mother’s Day — and you get a lucky bunch of Canadians in Playa lol!

🇲🇽Grateful to be here in this beautiful location, surrounded by the best people, complete with the most perfect weather. Bienvenida a Paradise!!

The past couple weeks, in a nutshell 🤓🥜🐚

We’ve been laying low lately, focusing on our studies, and taking time to turn inward. Lots going on behind the scenes here! 😮‍💨🙃🤪

We always take time to play though - and of course hit up the pool, ate a ton of good food, and spent quality time together as a family. 💞💞💞

A highlight was getting to visit Puerto Aventuras, where we visited with friends whom I (Mama K) hadn’t seen in over 20+ years - and we had the BEST time!! 😍🙏🐬

Looking forward to what’s about to unfold in the coming weeks here. Settling into the ashes, claiming back the spark and preparing to rise - Phoenix styles. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

We officially made it back to Playaaaa!! We love it here SO much, we just couldn’t wait to return — and this first week did not disappoint! 😍🙌💞

From sunny dips in the pool, to Spanish lessons, allllll the amazing foods, playing with friends, new homeschool tools, the solar eclipse (+ DJ’s impromptu hair cut!), a beach day, exploring around town, a solo afternoon out for mama, and a birthday celebration w/ our beautiful community — it’s definitely been a week to remember forever! 🤩💯💖

It seems a common goal that most people strive for is to live a happy, healthy, abundant life — and no matter how that looks for you, I believe that building a life you don’t need a vacation from is a steadfast way to get there. 👏👏👏

It isn’t always easy, yet is sure as Heaven is WORTH IT!! Here we are, figuring things out as we grow, and adjusting the sails accordingly. Done is better than perfect. 🥰🥰🥰

Second week of spring / our last week in Ontario, Canada before takeoff. 😍🇨🇦🍁

‘Twas a most excellent week indeed, as we made our way back to the city to stay with Familia and celebrate Dada’s birthday, visited with friends, had Fam Jam brunches + lunches + dinners + Easter festivities, stayed at a fancy hotel w/ Mami, visited the Dundurn Castle Heritage Museum, practiced Español, and gathered things from alllll the places in prep for our next trip ahead. 🤩🙌💞

Phew! Lol!! 😅😂🤣

Feels like we traveled the world in just that one week alone. Lots on the go, and I must admit this Mama is spenttttt. Haha!! Super stoked to anchor back in and ground down in Playa once again!! 🥹🙏💖

So long, for meow, Canada. It’s been a slice and then some. We’ll see ya when you’re solid in the double digits again. And thank you to all our fam and friends for making the past few weeks a trip to remember forever. Core memories: activated!! 💯💯💯

Happy first week of spring from the County! 😍🇨🇦🌷 (though it still feels like winter lol!!) 🥶

We’ve been living (& loving!) the cottage life here in PEC, which is right down the road from where we used to live. Activating alllll the mems!! 🥹🙏💞

Complete with good ol’ fashioned activities (like Jenga, Viewfinders, and a Barrel of Monkeys!), to watching the snow fall on the lake amidst glorious sunrises and sunsets, to achieving our 100-day streak learning Spanish on DuoLingo — we’re truly enjoying ourselves (& all the great food along the way, too)! 🤩🙌💚

One more week to grow before we take off on our next adventure. Making the most of it, and beyond grateful for all these simply beautiful moments. 👏👏👏

Happy last full day of winter, friends!! Soooo excited for the spring equinox tomorrow — it’s like the true new year, in my humble opinion. 😍🙌🌱

We spent the last week of winter here in our homeland of Ontario, Canada, and what a week it’s been so far! 🥹🙏🇨🇦

It began with a great travel day from PDC 🇲🇽, complete with sleepovers at our Fam Jam’s, a stop at our storage unit, visits and a dinner out with our crew, plus what feels like a gazillion appointments in between. 😅🤪🙃

Since then we’ve been livin’ the cottage life in our ol’ stompin’ grounds of PEC — where we’ve been joyously revisiting and reconnecting with some of our fave local places and people as we tackle a bunch more things on our get-to-do list! Soooo nice. 🤩👏💞

Though we’ve only been gone a few short months, it’s long enough for us to appreciate everything here *that* much more. Just when you think you couldn’t possibly love your hometown more than you did before, you do! Haha!! The warm welcomes we’re receiving as we make our rounds have warmed our hearts more than we can say. Quinte West is still the best!! 🥲🙏💘

We definitely didn’t bring back the sunshine as promised, though the weather has been okay — and the kid’s trip was made when it snowed (& hailed, rained, and the sun came out all within 30mins time haha!!). Happy campers all around! 🥶🌨️❄️

Willing for everyone a most beautiful spring equinox tomorrow and beyond. May the rebirth of this changing season bring with it an abundance of new life, love, laughter and lessons for all! 🌷🌷🌷

Loads of pool time, relaxing, exploring, studying, playing, a pet-beetle adoption, annnd a trip to the circus! 👏👏👏

The kiddos treated us to a rooftop sunset show this evening to commemorate one more sleep until we make our way to Canada tomorrow. Never a dull moment here, folks! Haha!! 😅😂🤣
