QUESTION: IF FILM SCHOOL IS JUST YOUTUBE WITH TUITION, WHY GO?

YouTube is extraordinary. Absolutely use it.

But film school at its best offers things a tutorial can’t hand you on demand: actors waiting for direction, collaborators with different ideas, equipment you’re accountable for, deadlines, criticism, disagreements, mistakes, sets, screenings—and the experience of discovering what you’re actually capable of when other people are depending on you.

Film school isn’t valuable simply because you attend. The value is in what you do while you’re there.

And you have to choose the school that’s right for you. For all the right reasons.

Not the most expensive.
Not the most convenient.
Not the one making promises.

Film school research is definitely worth the time—and it costs nothing.

If you’re going to do it, do it right the first time.

A psychedelic political horror trip in 12–15 minutes.
Cold morning. Hot coffee. Bad idea (the good kind).
