🚒 Suds, teamwork and $4,200+ for a great cause!

The Seneca Pre-Service Firefighting Association brought the Seneca community together for a car wash at Newnham Campus, raising more than $4,200 for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

A huge shoutout to the 40 volunteers who made it happen and everyone who came out to support.

Years of uncertainty followed, but he never gave up on finding his path. He is now entering his final year of Seneca’s Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) degree program.

🚀 Love rockets? How about joining a club and actually building one?

That's what Seneca student Saiprasad Dhodi thought when he launched Astra Labs, a student-run club for aspiring rocketeers and aerospace enthusiasts.

Over the past year, 20+ students from programs across Seneca came together to design and build Pioneer — a 2.5-metre-tall, 12.6 kg model rocket capable of reaching approximately 2.8 km at the speed of sound.

The team took Pioneer to Launch Canada 2026 and, despite weather cancelling their launch, they’re already back to work preparing for Launch Canada 2027.

Another long weekend is just around the corner. 🍂 🌤️

To mark the Labour Day long weekend, Seneca Polytechnic will be closed from the end of business day on Friday, Sept. 4, to the reopening on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

As part of the closure, the following resources will not be available from Saturday, Sept. 5 to Monday, Sept. 7:

Faculty of Continuing Education programs
Athletics & Recreation facilities
In-person and virtual Seneca Libraries services
In-person support at The Service Hub

We'll see you for the first day of the classes of the Fall term on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
