Wondering what options there are after graduating high school or university? U of T is highlighting the experience of being in a variety of healthcare professions with its annual Spring Open House this Sunday April 28th from 10AM-3PM.

The event will have students and practitioners from several different professional programs including Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Occupational Therapy, Medical Radiation Science, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech Language Pathology and more!!

The morning portion of the event will involve an inter-professional educational activity, followed by inter-professional student and faculty panels, and a lunchtime meet and greet! This will serve as an opportunity to discuss admissions, the students’ experience in school so far, and gaining a better idea of the multitude of roles in healthcare.

The day consists of a keynote speaker from Dr. Yonah Krakowsky, a staff urologist and lecturer who is passionate about increasing trans surgery in Canada. In addition there will be talks from our admissions staff, as well as opportunities to network with current medical students. The afternoon consists of an interactive workshop where you can learn applicable clinical skills and case-base learning to simulate a day in the life of a UofT Medical Student!

On May 5th, learn about inter professional healthcare from our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Evelyn Rubin.

Dr Evelyn Rubin, MD, CCFP, is a Family Physician practicing in downtown Toronto. She graduated from the University of Toronto medical school and completed her Family Medicine residency at North York General Hospital. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is actively involved in teaching medical students in all four years at the University of Toronto. She is also a volunteer preceptor at the IMAGINE clinic.
