Unto the Nobles, Artisans, and Populace of the Kingdom, greetings from your Regalia Officer.
Our regalia represents generations of skilled artisans and dedicated service — and it shows. Every six months these items change hands, travel to events, and endure the very active use that makes our kingdom thrive. Over time, even the finest craftsmanship wears down.
Crowns develop bent metalwork and lost stones. Banner stands loosen and warp from repeated assembly. Baldrics crack and fray. Feast boxes lose their structural integrity. Satchels split at the seams. These are not failures of care — they are the natural result of items doing their job, reign after reign.
As stated at Coronation recently, we are seeking artisans, donors, and supporters to help address our most pressing needs:
• Reinforced banner stands with protective carry cases
• Sturdy feast gear boxes — beautiful enough for court, tough enough for the road
• Robust retinue satchels with reinforced straps and quality closures
• Durable retinue baldrics with reinforced stitching and quality hardware
• Kingdom tablecloths (several sets, as they are provided to TRM and TRH)
• Indoor floor cloth (smaller than the large vinyl one we have, perhaps painted canvas)
• In time, we will need replacement or backup Crowns — we have already accepted a bid for replacement Heirs Coronets as the most urgent need. However, eventually we will need replacement crowns for TRM, constructed with durability as a primary concern alongside beauty, using secure stone settings, robust metalwork, and comfortable inner linings built to last.
Whatever you make, please build it to last. Beauty and durability are not opposites — the finest regalia achieves both.
A few people have already reached out to me about possibly working on some of these items — and that is wonderful to hear! If you are one of them, or if this letter has inspired you to help, please send me an email to confirm your intentions so I can track and coordinate efforts. Knowing what is being worked on helps ensure we don't duplicate work and that nothing falls through the cracks.
If you can help through making, donating materials, or contributing to the regalia fund, please reach out. Every contribution ensures our Crown is served with the dignity it deserves.
In service to Crown and Kingdom,
Duchess Adrielle

Kingdom of Ealdormere
The Kingdom of Ealdormere, www.ealdormere.ca, is a branch of the www.sca.org We hold all kinds of tournaments, feasts, dances classes and more!
We are the Kingdom of Ealdormere, a Kingdom of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), a Middle Ages historical recreation group! The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture. The lives of participants are enriched as we gain knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events.
🎨 Calling All Artisans & Supporters of Ealdormere! 🛡️
The Kingdom of Ealdormere is always seeking skilled artisans and generous patrons to help create, repair, and elevate our regalia!
Our regalia represents the history, pride, and pageantry of our Kingdom—but many pieces are in need of repair, refresh, or full replacement. This is where you come in!
I'm thrilled to announce that a bid for new Heirs coronets has been accepted but there are numerous other items that need some TLC or replacement.
✨ Artisans:
Do you sew, embroider, paint, carve, metalwork, or create in any medium? We would love your talents! Whether you can craft new pieces or help restore existing regalia, your skills will leave a lasting mark on the Kingdom. Things we could use are updated boxes for between the thrones, new banner stands, champion tabards,
💰 Donations:
If crafting isn’t your forte, you can still make a huge impact. Monetary contributions will go directly toward materials, repairs, and commissioning needed work to ensure our regalia reflects the splendour of Ealdormere. Financial donations are welcome from any group or individual. Although the Kingdom does have a regalia fund it is not very much and any contributions to the fund will be put to good use. For example the current totes the regalia is stored in are over 20 years old and need replacement. I am hoping to purchase some uniform bids and have a rack built to hold them.
Every contribution—time, skill, or coin—helps preserve and enhance the legacy we share.
📩 Interested in volunteering your craft or making a donation? Reach out to get involved! Its always a good idea to check with the Regalia officer before making anything to ensure something similar is not already in the works.
Let’s work together to ensure Ealdormere shines brightly for years to come! 🌟
Duchess Adrielle - Regalia Minister
A reminder that Pesha's Vigil will be happening this weekend at Sock Burner. She will be put on vigil by TRM in the morning and will be in contemplation for the day and will welcome those who would come share words with her. She will provide TRM with her answer in Court later that day. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.
Duchess Adrielle
My apologies for the late notice. I'd like to let you all know that Rose Tourney will be taking place at Gwyl y Fflam on the Sunday. Each Rose and Lady of the Trillium is invited to sponsor a team.
This year each team will consist of two armour combatants (one of whom may be Chivalry) one rapier combatant (who may be a MoD), and one archer.
It will be a double elimination tournament. In each round, the Rose who's team wins the majority of passes will win that round. Archery will be a single shot, head to head. Each fighting round will also be a single combat and a single fight. If there is tie the Roses will decide on the tie breaker bought.
The Rose Tournament is unique in that the Ladies sponsor the field, and it is a special opportunity to showcase many of the ideals of the society including honor, courtesy, and presence on the field. The wish is to encourage and endorse those fighters who aspire to the highest ideals of chivalry and courtesy on the field of honourable combat. This tournament is what the SCA is about, for us to provide a forum for great deeds of valor;
courage and chivalry.
To that end entrants must meet the requirements listed below.
* Participants must be sponsored by a Lady of the Rose or Trillium
* An armoured combatant may not also be a fencing combatant or an archer (basically the team must be 4 different persons)
* Best attire for all combatants is encourage, think Crown pretty.
If you are interested in participating then please feel free to approach a Lady of the Rose or Trillium.
