That's a wrap on Spring Colours 2026! Congratulations to all of our ensembles who worked extremely hard to get their repertoire ready for this performance. Thank you to the many families, friends, staff, and alumni for your attendance and support.

To quote more than one of our long-term audience members, "The concerts get better every year!" and after reaching the 2-hour mark for the first time since 2019, "We are BACK!”

Happy Star Wars Day! Our Grade 9 Concert Band was thrilled to meet and work with Matt Neufeld, composer of Doom Star. Come out and hear this piece and so much more, at our Spring Colours Music Night on Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 pm.

The ACCI 50th Anniversary Reunion was intensely popular! We hope those of you in the audience enjoyed our Wind Ensemble's performance. The past and present staff were thrilled to see so many alumni stop by and relive their favourite Campbell memories.

Are you coming to ACCI's 50th Anniversary reunion, tomorrow? Stop by the school between 2 pm and 5 pm on Saturday, May 2nd. Ceremony at 2:30-3:00, including the Wind Ensemble's performance of Wesley Cheang 's brand new composition dedicated to our school, "Dear Albert,"

Then take a stroll down memory lane and say hi to your old (and I mean OLD) teachers. The music rooms can't wait to see you again!

Congratulations to our very own Mr. Wesley Cheang, who continues to accomplish great things in the concert band and composition world. This week you can catch him at the WASBE booth at The Midwest Clinic in Chicago!

This summer, Mr. Cheang traveled to South Korea where his piece "Three Balloons" was a finalist in the WASBE-World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles composition competition. "Three Balloons" is also included in this year's Ontario Band Association Concert Band Festival syllabus.

Cheang's compositions are charming and programmatic. Unique, whimsical elements play together with rhythmic and harmonic complexity that nods to his jazz upbringing. He continues to write several pieces for wind ensembles each year, in addition to teaching full time.
