**[ALERT] NEWTON OFFICIAL INFORMATION NOTICE**
On Sunday, July 8th, we received reports of fraudulent activity, affecting students, families, and partners on social media. This message is our official response to the public.
First and foremost, we extend our deepest condolences to the affected families and acknowledge the distress caused by this situation. We have been supporting the families by assisting them in contacting the accused individual as soon as we received the report. At this moment, legal actions are being planned to clarify and resolve the situation.
Regarding the reported situation, the school was not involved in any payment transactions between the affected families and the accused person.
The school received three applications from the accused person and issued Letters of Permission and Invoices for tuition. However, we did not receive any payments from the families during the payment period. Consequently, the three applications were canceled in December 2023. As of now, we have no contact with the accused individual. The mentioned student has transferred and is no longer associated with the school.
Nevertheless, with further evidence, we are committed to supporting the victims' families if needed, in seeking justice from the Canadian authorities.
We understand that this situation has caused confusion among parents and students who trust us. Please take the following precautions seriously if you are enrolling at our school:
1. The school's invoice always provides the correct wire transfer information for direct bank payments. Do not make any payments to third parties.
2. To confirm the legitimacy of your Letter of Permission and Invoice, you can email us with the following:
- Your full name
- A copy of your ID or passport
- Your application form
Official contact email: [email protected]
We appreciate your attention to these details to ensure your safety and trust in our institution.

Does anyone still order clothes from Shein or Temu in our house? 🧐
There's no problem with buying clothes at cheap prices, but with poor quality, just wearing them 1-2 times and the item is already lost in the corner of the closet 🧦🧤
♻️ Last week, students from NIC's World of Fashion class organized a project to collect old clothes to raise awareness about the issue of fashion recycling - as well as the current "fast fashion" trend in society today.
♻️The whole school came together to practice "fashion recycling week," with a corner dedicated for students to donate old clothes. After a week of fundraising, these clothes will be donated to the Willowdale Shelter fund.
♻️ Some tips to reduce "fast fashion" from NIC students:
1. Before buying an item, you can determine the cost per use to determine the value and quality of the item.
2. Instead of opting for fast fashion brands like Shein, Temu, etc., you can consider buying second-hand items.
3. When you no longer use an item, instead of throwing it away, you can recycle, donate, or creatively find different ways to use it.
Thank you to Ms. Mamta for guiding this meaningful project
