IV insertion is one of those skills that reflects your clinical confidence once you’re capable. It's a foundational competency for fluid administration, medication delivery, and emergency care.

Getting it right isn't just technical. It directly impacts patient comfort and treatment outcomes.

Meet Lucy Kpiebewieng, RN, MN, GNC(C), the founder and lead educator behind Nurse Decoded.

Nurse Decoded was not built from a perfect path through nursing. It was built from lived experience. Lucy knows what it feels like to navigate nursing education with limited formal support, financial strain, and moments when you have to figure things out largely on your own.

After more than 15 years across long-term care, geriatrics and dementia care, acute care, psychiatric geriatrics and forensics, rehabilitation, and nursing education, she began to see familiar challenges from a different perspective.

Students entering clinical settings unsure of themselves. New graduates navigating the realities of practice. Experienced nurses trying to support the next generation while managing demanding workloads.

She also experienced the moral distress that can come with knowing what good care and good learning should look like, while facing circumstances that can make both difficult.

Nurse Decoded grew from that experience.

A space where learners can practice without fear of judgment. Where questions are welcome. Where mistakes are part of learning. Where confidence can grow before someone is expected to perform.

It is the kind of learning environment Lucy wishes she had at every stage of her own journey.

So she built it for others.

This is the story behind Nurse Decoded. ♡

💙 💙 A safe space to learn makes all the difference.

When people feel supported, encouraged, and free to learn without fear of judgment, challenging concepts become opportunities to grow. We’re so grateful for this thoughtful feedback about their experience with Nurse Decoded:

"Such great and relatable instruction, found them clear, entertaining..."

At Nurse Decoded, we believe healthcare-related education should be more than just information. It should be practical, engaging, and designed to help you feel confident applying what you learn.

Whether you’re building your skills as a new nurse or continuing to grow as an experienced professional, you deserve learning that meets you where you are.

✨ Practical learning. Real-world skills. Confidence to grow.
