Today in Bricks Challenge, our young engineers explored something that looks like play—but is actually mechanical engineering in action! 🔧🧠

Using our 🐟 Swimming Fish model, students discovered how to:

🔄 Transform circular motion into elliptical motion
⚙️ Understand how gears transfer movement
↔️ Explore the role of a slider mechanism
📏 See how changing the axle length affects the fish’s movement
🛠️ Experiment, modify, upgrade and create their own designs

The best part? They’re not just following instructions—they’re building, testing, asking “what if?” and learning through experimentation. 💡

🌪️🎢 BUILD IT. CODE IT. MAKE IT MOVE! 🤖🧱

This week at Young Engineers Toronto, our AlgoPlay engineers took on Lesson 20: HURRICANE RIDE! 🌪️🎡

The challenge? Make the ride spin AND blink at the same time! 🔄🔵

Kids explored robotics, automation & coding while learning about multithreading—how different commands can run in parallel. 🧠💻

Then came the fun part:
🧱 BUILD → 🤖 CODE → 🎢 PLAY → 🔧 UPGRADE!

🚀 Can they add more seats?
💡 Create new light combinations?
⚙️ Make the ride move in different ways?

This is more than LEGO play—it’s hands-on STEM learning where kids build real mechanical systems, program robots, test ideas and solve challenges!

Is your child ready to build, code, and discover the exciting world of engineering? Join us for a FREE hands-on STEM trial class and experience the fun of Young Engineers!

This week, our AlgoPlay students will build and program the Lucky Carousel Robot! 🎠🤖

🌈 What will they learn?
✅ The concept of randomness
✅ How to use the Light Random Command
✅ Robotics, coding, automation, and algorithms
✅ Logical thinking and problem-solving
✅ Probability through fun team challenges

Students will build their own robot, write code, test different outcomes, and discover that random results—just like rolling dice—cannot be predicted! 🎲 They’ll also enjoy friendly competitions while developing creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
