ShinrinYoku, Forest Bathing and Taking a Walk in the Woods 02/16/2021

A Bit of ShinrinYoku Please

The forest is an amazing place. It touches one’s soul. We only need to hear the repeated stories of hikers, climbers, botanists and those just seeking calm from a society that seems to be spinning out of control or perhaps too much into it.

In Japan, forest bathing or ‘ShinrinYoku’ has long been a way to help calibrate one’s mental and physical health. It has even received Oprah’s attention.

"Japanese researchers have found that leaving the civilized world behind for a few hours could be the healthiest thing you do all day."

Hold fast.
Know there are people like you desiring the same.
Let your heart think for a while instead of your brain.

Take a walk. Breathe deeply.

Love with reckless abandon.
Care with thoughtful integrity.
Shed the confusion.
Be mindful of your feelings.
