Some memories take a while to put into words, but the resonance of this night still lingers... 🎼✨
Looking back at Raaga Darshan at the Ismaili Centre Toronto. Sharing the stage with legendary Tabla maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee was a deeply humbling experience as we explored the quiet depth of Raag Jaijaiwanti and the grace of Raag Piloo.
It’s been a whirlwind couple of months since, but the warmth and devotion of all 500 of you who filled the hall until late into the night remains unforgettable. 🙏🍁
Heartfelt thanks to Small World Music for presenting this special evening, and to Third Space Music for their wonderful support as our marketing partner!
🎥 Concert video clips will be dropping soon - stay tuned!

A night where traditions did not simply meet — they listened, responded, and transformed together.
On Saturday, May 30, at St. George’s Grange Park in the heart of Toronto, I had the joy of performing with the Swara Sutras Ensemble — bringing together Sarode, Métis fiddle, Double Bass, Peul flute, Guzheng, Erhu, electronics, contemporary composition, and improvisation on one stage.
Rooted in five musical traditions — North Indian, Métis, West African/Peul, Chinese, and Western contemporary/Jazz — the evening became a powerful cross-cultural musical dialogue, shaped by deep listening, imagination, technology, and the spirit of collaboration.
Still carrying the energy of this unforgettable evening. Excited to continue the journey in Montreal on June 9.

Yesterday was a milestone day. We spent the day at the Small World Music Centre recording tracks for my upcoming Sarode album, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful.
I am incredibly fortunate to collaborate with such a fantastic team of artists: the brilliant Ravi Naimpally on Tabla, Saptak Bhadra providing the foundational warmth on Tanpura, and the exceptional Reza Moghaddas capturing it all behind the soundboard.
This project is generously supported by the Toronto Arts Council and I am deeply grateful for their commitment to bringing this music to life.
There is still a long journey ahead in post-production, but we are putting our hearts into it. Looking forward to sharing the final album with you all this coming September! 🍁✨
