Final long weekend race update!

On Monday, August 3 these two OSTC athletes ran the 70th annual Shore-to-Shore Road Race benefiting the Bruce Peninsula Hospice. This race spans 13kms from Oliphant (Lake Huron) to Wiarton (Georgian Bay) and saw 178 runners racing to the finish.

Amazing efforts by both - great job doing OSTC proud!

Oliver Hershey - 49:42.9 1st 🥇 U19 and under; 3rd 🥉 overall

Cooper Sutherland - 55:38.4 4th U19 and under

These three OSTC athletes traveled to Hamilton on August 2 to participate in the Last Chance Twilight meet. Smiles on their faces despite the wet and dreary weather. Great job Maddie, Olivia and Koen for some great efforts at this final Twilight meet opportunity!

6 Athletes, 1 Coach and 1 'Assistant' Coach (our BEST U20 Girls cheerleader) all came together this weekend to compete at the Athletic Ontario U14, U16, U18 Provincial Track and Field Championships in St. Catherine's.

Everyone gave it their all, resulting in multiple PB's and some great efforts with first attempts.

These OSTC brothers attended the Newmarket Huskies Summer Twilight Meet on June 27 with some great results!

Ben Hershey competed in the 1200M race finishing in 3:55.26, smashing his previous PB by 17 seconds.

Oliver Hershey competed in the 1500M race with a solid finish of 4:17.62 demonstrating consistency with this distance.

On June 13, 2026 these 8 OSTC members travelled to Cambridge to compete in the District C Royal Canadian Legion Track and Field meet. A hot day with some great results from the team!

Next up - Ben H competed in his Regional Elementary Track Meet today in Kincardine.

As a Grade 7 student competing in the Grade 7/8 division, he knew he would have to work hard and push himself in both his events. The results demonstrate the hard work he has put in!
