π Do you only talk to your child .004% of the week? Imagine if you did! π¬ How fast do you think would learn to speak? Do you stop when they don't seem to get or say the words? Of course not! Strangely, you'd be amazed at how many people don't take the same time and care to music as they do their children's walking and talking. π΅ Music actually fosters and {speeds up | accelerates) these very areas - PHYSICAL & LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT - when they are exposed early and often, it just requires the same care πin combinationπ with your other strageties, and you'll be hitting milestones faster. Music Learning Supports All Learningβ’οΈ.

βΉοΈ Being alone is hard at any time. With a Baby, even more so, giving up your needs completely to focus on the child who is utterly defenseless, and leaving behind a world of routine and habit as that person changes your life-that-was.
Finding yourself in a Music Together class with other parents really helps that, and not just because you are with your peers and makng new friends, but because singing releases endorphins, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. Music is a good social activity for counteracting loneliness. Join us with your Baby this winter!

π€ π€·π½ββοΈ Letting your kid participate or lead an activity in their own way is hard for us adults. Almost immediately we want to put our kids into little conformist box, and to have them adapt to how WE, as adults, perceive how things SHOULD go. Sadly, this isn't how they learn, and can really restrain growth, if not take away from their curiosity of learning.
Even up to the age of 8 or 9 years, children are learning to do ALL THINGS through observationπ, experimentation π§ͺ, and masteryπ. This spiral repeats all the time, and sometimes in very different ways. You might perceive your child not doing anything in our classes (particularly if you are sitting behind them), but watch them closely and you'll notice them watching what EVERYBODY ELSE is doing. Later, at home or away from class, you might notice them repeating the activity they saw in class, or even pretending to instruct their own class. In some cases, they'll sit you down and tell you THEY are the teacher, and will expect you to follow THEM. Letting go of our views of when and how they should participate is giving them the freedom to learn at their pace. All you have to do is to keep exposing them to music, and to play with them musically.
