Scrolling through my phone I came across these photos. They were taken during my last teacher training in Mysore India right before Covid hit. I learned so much from working with these extraordinary yogis. In fact, every training I’ve ever given has taught me something new. I love how the line between student and teacher becomes blurred when you lose yourself in the journey of discovering what is possible. ❤️

This stunning slide show created courtesy of an IPhone memory, is of the last Suspension Yoga teacher training in India before Covid brought the world to a halt.
So much has happened since that surreal period. My annual visits to teach in India came to an end and I have not been back since. I miss those times but new things took its place. The Flying Yogi studio in Toronto closed and reappeared as a retreat centre in Merida Mexico and, now the spirit of Suspension Yoga is reemerging in New Brunswick.
None of this was planned, it evolved moment by moment, breath by breath in response to a rapidly changing world.
And the journey continues. Stay tuned for a new training planned for Summer 2026.
Embrace the new, fear not, the Universe always has a new trick up its sleeve. 😊❤️

Suspended inversions are one of the best things you can do for decompressing your spine to alleviate back pain. From that position, there are so many options to explore.

Today I’d like to show you how to easily enter a Flying Superhero pose. It does require some strength so if you find yourself struggling, try lowering your handle straps a knot or 2 and don’t forget to push your feet into your ropes for an easier lift.

Flying Superhero is great for improving proprioception and developing upper body strength and overall coordination.

Once you’ve got it, it’s like riding a bike - you’ll never forget it! 😁👏🥇
