The Abelard School

The Abelard School The Abelard School is a small private school in downtown Toronto offering advanced university preparation to gifted and motivated students in grades 7-12.

Founded in 1997 by four teachers who shared a vision of a school that inspired a lifelong love of learning, The Abelard School ensures its students receive the strongest academics to prepare them for university and beyond. 100 percent of our students receive acceptances from universities, many with prestigious scholarships. As of 2018, Abelard offers a middle school programme, where grade 7 and 8 students receive an enriched education that equips them to excel in high school. Mme. Rossinsky's senior French students had the opportunity to attend a rare performance of Albert Camus' play Le malentendu, at Le Théâtre français de Toronto. A provocative play which explores some of the same territory as Camus' well-known novel L'etranger, it kept the audience on the edge of our seats!
