From now until August, Piping Plovers will be nesting and raising their young on beaches along the Atlantic coast, the Great Lakes, and in the prairies.

During this crucial time, make sure to keep your distance from Plover habitats, leave no trace on the beach, and keep pets on leashes.

During spring migration, rufa Red Knots congregate in huge numbers at stopover points like Delaware Bay to refuel. The Red Knots eat horseshoe crab eggs and mollusks, swallowing the shells whole and crushing them in their stomachs!

Join Dr. Roberta Bondar for an evening of exploring the lives of migratory birds at The Muse in Kenora. Dr. Bondar will be presenting her Patterns & Parallels photography exhibit and taking us behind the scenes of her fieldwork with at-risk birds.

May 22 at 7 pm at the Douglas Family Art Centre, admission by donation. https://bit.ly/4tGh3b5
