OFSAA Try Day is back for the 2026-27 school year!

Schools, take advantage by applying for an OFSAA Try Day grant. The Ontario Ministry of Sport has again provided a grant of up to $700 for publicly-funded secondary schools to enhance their athletic/activity programs and to encourage all students to participate once again!

We're very excited to announce a partnership with Bardown - our new "Exclusive Merchandise Provider for OFSAA Championships".

Beginning in 2026-27, the Ontario-based Bardown will feature refreshed apparel lines and modernized retail setups at OFSAA host venues. In addition to on-site tournament stores, Bardown will offer a dedicated online store for convenient ordering by student-athletes, families, and supporters.

OFSAA is excited to welcome a new partner - Swush!

Swush becomes the "Official Youth Sports Innovation Partner of OFSAA".

Swush uses flavour to make wearing a mouthguard a more positive experience. Swush will have a presence at select OFSAA championships with a focus on developing safety-conscious habits among student-athletes.

OFSAA was thrilled to participate in the 36th Annual OTIP Charity Golf Classic on August 28th at the Cardinal Golf Club in King City, ON.

OFSAA is aligned with our partner OTIP in creating opportunities and helping to build brighter futures for students.

We enjoyed having students Zach Lederer and Sammy Giacomelli with us for the two “Beat the Junior Pro” activations on the course.

Congratulations to the OTIP Community Fund for orchestrating an amazing day!

Thank you to Emerald Hills Golf & Country Club for hosting our special Brian Maxwell Memorial Scholarship again today in Stouffville, ON.

Eight outstanding student-athletes from across Ontario were awarded $5,000 scholarships to pursue education at a Canadian college or university.

Congratulations to Kieva Birmingham, Aiden Clodd, Sabine Cornell, Owen Daber, Kirk Hallman, Charlie Mortimer, Julie DeBoer and Kyla Farr.

Congratulations, Rob! Well deserved recognition for you and your family!

Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame Inductee Spotlight: Rob Grepe (builder)

Born in Oshawa, Rob Grepe attended R.S. McLaughlin Collegiate before attending the University of Arkansas on an athletic scholarship.

Although entering the Hall as a builder, Rob was a formidable athlete in his own right, competing at OFSAA and national championships in cross country during high school. He later became a Canadian champion in both duathlon and triathlon, competing at three world championships, finishing as high as 10th.

Rob returned to R.S. McLaughlin as a teacher and helped build a high school dynasty as a coach. Between 2002 and 2014, Rob led the Trojans to an incredible 42 LOSSA championships in cross country and track and field, as well as six OFSAA cross country titles and 14 OFSAA team medals. His guidance helped 17 of his student-athletes earn NCAA scholarships. He received the OFSAA Convener Award for cross country in 2022.

Beyond the high school level, Rob spent 10 years coaching track and cross country with the Toronto Olympic Club. He served as a Team Ontario track coach for three years leading up to the 2009 Canada Summer Games and was a member of the coaching staff for Canada at the NACAC championships in 2014. Rob has also been instrumental in the development of elite talent, having coached five Olympic athletes, including Oshawa’s Matt Hughes.
