Ryerson Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship Ryerson University’s Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides students with Entrepreneurship is critical to the economy.

The Centre for Engineering, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CEIE) is a central hub of innovation that provides the necessary resources and supports for students wishing to pursue entrepreneurial endeavours and technology ventures. As engines of job creation, economic growth and innovation, the success of small- and medium sized-enterprises affects the well-being of world markets. Engineer-led technology companies are becoming an increasingly important component of the new economic landscape, and a key vehicle for the transfer of new ideas into high-demand goods and services. In the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) at Ryerson University, we are dedicated to ensuring that our students are poised to be leaders in the fast-paced and multi-faceted world of technology startups. So we created the Centre for Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CEIE) to train our students not only to be engineers, but to be entrepreneurs as well.

The Norman Esch Awards applications are open for the Fall 2021 cohort.

The Norman Esch Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards provide financial assistance at three (3) stages of startup development to multiple current FEAS students per cohort.

The 3 stages are:
Stage 1: Interaction Award ($5,000)
Stage 2: Development Award ($8,000)
Stage 3: Market Readiness Award ($25,000)

Join us for this information session to learn more about the awards and how you can obtain funding to launch your own idea. During this information and Q&A session, prospective FEAS students will learn about the award and how to apply.
