While it might serve a perfect recipe for conflicts and confusions, a more compassionate school of thought would encourage education to all residents so that a common ground is established where a seamless blend can thrive. A ‘change’, is however, initiated not from one dimension but two; just like a coin can never be complete without its other side. Conceptualized in the year 2012, Mozia is an empathetic initiative to educate families & individuals towards wholesome family & societal values. Alongside, we also strive to sensitize families towards those values which can help them merge into our society with more conviction. OBJECTIVE:
The eventual objective that underlies our efforts is to carve out a societal structure which respects its traditional values and empathizes with those who have a different way of looking at things. In other words, those soon-to-be oblivious beliefs of family time, shared meals and common entertainment have to be reinforced by harping upon the unparalleled bliss that they lead to. On the other hand, we do not want certain section of the society to feel left out; and hence, aspire to provide streamlined training which offers them the opportunity of being confident about themselves; and thus, integrate with the society more successfully. As Marcus Garvey said “With confidence, you have won before you have started". It is this confidence that will help these families feel better about themselves in the society. MODUS OPERANDI:
The way in which our society has evolved over the last decade or two, banal speeches and long sessions have lost their impact. We, at Mozia, have, therefore, crafted an ‘Education via Entertainment’ structure of imparting values. We utilize such forms of entertainment as plays, drama, dance, music, poetry, sports and other socially relevant programmes & events to assemble, communicate & reinforce the core values of our respective initiatives. Partnerships with influential individuals and institutions also assist us in spreading the word deep into the various layers of the society. Moreover, our core focus is on the women who, by the virtue of their role in the family, can establish & pursue certain norms in the household as well as the youth. We would finally want to leave you with this saying by Rigoberta Menchu Tum “There will be no peace, if there is no justice. There will be no justice, if there is no equity.
