🏀 WELCOME COACH DARIUS COLEMAN 🏀
Uchenna Academy is proud to welcome Darius Coleman as Head Coach of Uchenna Dallas campus.
Coach Coleman brings a proven winning culture built over more than 26 years of developing student-athletes. His championship résumé includes being part of back-to-back UIL State Championships at Lancaster High School (2015 & 2016) and leading RWG to a TCAL State Championship in its very first season (2022).
He is also the Founder and Director of Lone Star Elite, one of the nation’s most respected grassroots basketball programs based in Dallas. His work has earned national recognition from the Black Coaches Association (BCA) and The Circuit as one of the country’s top grassroots coaches.
Throughout his career, Coach Coleman has helped more than 200 student-athletes earn college scholarships, impacting lives both on and off the court.

🧠 Nutrition is a skill. We put it into practice. 🍝

You cannot out-train a bad diet. Our S&C Coach Ryan Mingo took the Sankofas off the court and into the kitchen for a hands-on cooking class. We covered the essentials: basic knife skills, making a real pasta sauce from scratch, and the reality of meal prepping for busy schedules. Coach Ryan also broke down the dietary supplements growing athletes actually need to stay fueled. Developing elite student-athletes means focusing on the details.

Congratulations to John Levi Ogiramoi on his official selection to the Uganda U-18 Men’s National Team. He will be representing the Jr. Silverbacks at the upcoming FIBA Africa Zone V Qualifiers in Hoima, Uganda. The entire Uchenna Academy family is incredibly proud of his dedication and the work he has put in to reach this level.

Congratulations to Illya Kramar on his official selection to the Ukraine U-18 Men’s National Team. Illya will head to Riga, Latvia for training camp at the end of the month before competing in the 2026 European Championship in Croatia this July. We are incredibly proud of his dedication and the hours he puts in at the gym every single day.
