Once a week my son and I spend the morning at the , and today we waltzed over to the art section and found” “100 Things You Need to Know About Art”, by Susie Hodge & Marcos Farina.

We sat together flipping through it — it’s brilliantly designed for young learners, with clear explanations, vibrant illustrations, and bite-sized facts that make art history and techniques easy to understand. As an Art Teacher ( and now a Mother ), I highly recommend this book because it introduces children different art movements, and the basics of color, composition, and creative thinking — all while keeping it fun and engaging.

Perfect for inspiring curiosity and building confidence in budding artists! 🎨✨

Last night, St. Elizabeth School felt a little enchanting.

Tiny hands and big imaginations came together to paint The Starry Night by Van Gogh — swirling blues, glowing moons, and skies that looked different on every canvas. Some stars were bright, some were wild, some danced right off the page.

There was quiet focus, excited whispers, paint-splattered smiles, and that special kind of joy that happens when children are free to create.

Art doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to belong to them.

Thank you, St. Elizabeth, for a night full of wonder, creativity, and starry skies. 🌌🎨

What a beautiful morning at the Awareness Walk at Earlscourt Park 💜✨

We’re so proud of our friend —not only is she living with lupus, but she’s an unstoppable force for awareness, community, and hope. Tanya put together an amazing event, and it was such an honor for Raising Artists to be part of it by offering complementary painting workshops for budding artists of the community. 🎨

Everything came together wonderfully, and the energy was pure joy. We can’t wait to give back again, and bring even more creativity to next year’s walk! 🎨💜
