The Global Health Engage team will be holding a workshop on January 28th at 5:00 P.M. We will be hosting an introductory R workshop with a focus on life science disciplines. This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn more about this exciting area of study. We will be providing an informational session about what R is, its many uses in life science research and why quantitative analysis is so important in the field. Following the informational session, there will be a follow-along workshop where participants will have a hands-on learning experience about how to utilize a large set of data to generate and design graphs, as well as perform various statistical analyses with the data. Established in 1988, the University of Toronto International Health Program (UTIHP) is Canada's largest interdisciplinary student organization whose mission is to obtain health equity internationally, as well as locally. We raise funds for humanitarian aid, provide scholarships for international health research, organize workshops to improve the quality of life in impoverished communities across Toronto, advocate for human rights and equity through campaigns, hold a model World Health Organization annually allowing students to participate in providing solutions to large problems, as well as much more!
