Today, we wear orange to honor the Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools and never returned home, as well as the survivors and their families. National Truth and Reconciliation Day or Orange Shirt Day reminds us of the importance of acknowledging past wrongs and committing to reconciliation.

Let’s take a moment to learn, reflect, and support the healing process for Indigenous communities. Every Child Matters. 🧡

Prestige School’s DECA team kicked off the year at the DECA Fall Symposium at Château Le Jardin!

Ms. Yana and our student delegates joined DECA teams from across Ontario for a day packed with leadership activities, competition tips, mock role-plays, networking, and an inspiring keynote speaker.

We’re so proud of our team's enthusiasm and dedication. Here’s to an amazing DECA year ahead!

Ms. Michelle and the kinders have been learning about the life cycle of an apple. To end the unit, students got to taste various apples and share which they liked best. Hands on learning is so much fun!

Prestige students and teachers participated in the Terry Fox School Run today. Students had fun running or walking in the neighbourhood to carry on Terry's legacy of the Marathon of Hope. Prestige students raised $3057! Amazing job this year and thank you to everyone that donated.

Since we exceeded our goal, students will receive casual Fridays in October. Thank you Mrs. Amanda for organizing the Terry Fox Run every year. A link was shared on Google Classroom with today's pictures. Please use your child's school email to access it.

Last week, our gr. 12 students participated in important University Guidance & Application Information Sessions, led by Ms. Yana, at both our campuses.

Students received guidance on the university application process and explored opportunities across Ontario, throughout Canada, and around the world.

Some of our students have already started or even completed their applications, while others are continuing to research programs and universities to find the right fit for their future.

It is an exciting time for our gr. 12 students as they take this important next step toward their post-secondary goals. We are looking forward to supporting them throughout the application journey and celebrating their university acceptances with them in the months ahead!
