The Judo Ontario AGM is coming up on September 13, 2026!

The AGM will be held in person and virtually and is open to all registered 2026–27 members. Voting rights are limited to blackbelts.

🥋 Judo Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Sasha Mehmedovic as our new High Performance Lead / Head Coach!

A two-time Olympian and Olympic coach, Sasha returns home to Ontario to lead our high-performance and athlete development programs.

Working alongside athletes, club coaches, and the judo community across the province, Sasha will help strengthen Ontario's athlete development pathway while building on the strong performances and momentum of recent years.

"I have known Sasha since he was a talented young competitor at Ajax Budokan Judo Club. His journey from Ontario athlete to Olympian, Olympic coach, and one of Canada's leading high-performance coaches has been remarkable. Today we proudly welcome him home." – Brian Kalsen, President

Join us at Kawasaki Rendokan, for a Ju-no-Kata Clinic designed for judoka with basic to intermediate kata experience. Whether you're preparing for grading, competition, or simply looking to deepen your understanding of Ju-no-Kata, this clinic is for you!

Judo Ontario is seeking passionate and committed leaders to serve on its Board of Directors.

Serving on the Board is an opportunity to help guide the strategic direction of judo in Ontario, support the growth of our sport, and make a meaningful impact on athletes, clubs, coaches, officials, and members across the province.

To help prospective candidates better understand the role, we have developed a Board Roles and Responsibilities document and updated Position Descriptions outlining the expectations, time commitment, governance responsibilities, and qualifications associated with each elected position.

Three current Board members have reached their maximum allowable term limit and are not eligible for re-election. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved!
