Our goal has been to offer an opportunity for learners of all ages and perceived abilities to maximize their learning potential and be
prepared to thrive in the 21st century. We originally thought we were going to create an awesome foundational learning practice (which we did) and our job would be complete. What we found in the process, however, was that a rich educational experience cannot focus simply on intellectual development; it involves more, much more. It demands more than personal development, and more than educating the "mind, body and spirit" of which many holistic educators speak. In fact, it includes the whole world, because the 21st century is defined by a global economy, global awareness, global communication, and global challenges. Our vision for education therefore includes beingstalk, a crowd-sourced, social networking platform that integrates entrepreneurship, education, technology, psychology, gamefulness, 21st century leadership, philanthropy, and inclusivity. Beingstalk is comprised of three interdependent stems that ensure the most potent learning experience:

So many aspects of our lives affect our capacity to learn.
These comments apply to all education systems, not just India’s. To this I would add that alphabet mastery and project based learning (determined by the students’ passions) be standard parts of all curricula.
