In our latest article, we explore dissociation and its associated disorders. While dissociative disorders have a body of research surrounding them, there is oftentimes doubt and skepticism surrounding their legitimacy and impact on the human psyche. We explore the dissociative experience’s relationship with trauma, as well as an evidence-based program known as Finding Solid Ground (FSG), which helps support individuals struggling with dissociation and complex trauma through its offering of practical tools for emotional regulation and self-compassion.

In our latest article, we explore how yoga can be used within eating disorder recovery. Research has supported the idea that yoga can be promising for both eating disorder prevention and treatment, with the practice of yoga reducing disordered eating behaviours and enhancing body appreciation, self-compassion, emotional regulation, and re-embodiment. There is a growing movement of “trauma-informed yoga”, where autonomy and emotional safety are prioritized, leading to many being able to benefit from it on their roads to recovery.
