Schools across Canada are facing increasing concerns around violence, discipline, and safety.
Educators are being asked difficult questions every day:
How do we respond to harm in ways that protect safety, while also building accountability, trust, and belonging?
Restorative justice is often presented as an alternative to punitive discipline. But in practice, many educators and families are still asking:
What does restorative justice actually look like in schools?
When does it work — and when does it fall short?
Who is being included in these processes… and who is not?
This 90-minute virtual roundtable brings together educators, students, caregivers, and community partners to have an honest, grounded conversation about what’s happening in schools right now — and where we go from here.

Words Matter Day is a celebration of our growing mission to equip students and educators with the real-time tools to tackle harmful language instantly, prioritizing student support and a culture of accountability and belonging.
