Are you motivated and passionate about Sociology? Are you looking to develop your leadership skills? Do you want to get involved on campus? Run for a position to be part of the USSU executive team for 2026-2027!

Candidate Requirements:
Only the following individuals can apply for executive positions with the Union (including the departmental academic journal, Undergraduate Sociology Journal) or vote at USSU meetings:

* All students registered in at least one undergraduate course in the Sociology Department on the St. George Campus;
* All students enrolled in a program (minor, major, specialist, or combined specialist) offered by the Department;
* Must be full-time students or ASSU fee-paying members

Nomination Process:
Candidates must submit a short statement of interest (max. 150 words) on the form explaining why they are best suited for the position. You may choose up to 2 positions: one top choice and a second choice. Details about each position can be found in our constitution on our website (link in bio).

Candidates are asked to run individually. Candidates will be contacted by email with election details.

Campaigning Process:
After the candidates have received their application confirmation from USSU, they are able to campaign for their cause and what they hope to achieve if elected. The campaigning period will run from September 18-21.

The voting period will be from September 22-24, and results will be announced on September 25.

Elected candidates must also be available to meet between Sept. 25-30 to take executive photos!
