Happy Tamil Heritage Month 🌱
This month, we celebrate the Tamil language, people and its vast intellectual tradition: from classical literature and ethics to modern scholarship, diaspora studies, and critical thought.
At The Tamil Academic Journal, we remain committed to amplifying rigorous, reflective, and inclusive Tamil research — past, present, and future.

Repost: Celebrate Tamil Heritage Month with us at the 4th Digital Tamil Studies Symposium on Saturday, 24 January at the University of Toronto Scarborough📍
We’re excited to share that we’ll be joining the Community Archiving Panel and officially launching our new partnership and website at the event.
This hybrid, bilingual programme includes the Digital Tamil Studies Symposium, a Community Archiving Mixer and Panel, a pop-up archival exhibit, a student-led musical performance, and a public lecture by Prof. Sanathanan titled “The Art of Archiving: Art, Memories and Heritage in post–armed-conflict Sri Lanka.”
💡The day will spotlight Tamil collections, digital research, and the importance of community-driven heritage work. We’re honoured to be part of it and hope to see many of you there.
🎟️You can reserve your spot through the link in the Instagram bio.
