Celebrating our remarkable 30th year anniversary in 2021, Computek is an Ontario-based career college dedicated to providing practical learning for newcomers to become employed. Our students learn from industry proven instructors, access special workshops that give them a competitive edge in the job market, and effectively leverage financial aid and career services. 🎓Just over a week to go until our 2026 Graduation Ceremony!

We’re honoured to welcome Dr. Brenda Uribe as one of the special speakers joining us for this year’s celebration.

Originally from Mexico City, Dr. Uribe began her medical career in Mexico before immigrating to Canada in 2008. After years of perseverance, further studies and beginning her medical training again in Canada, she qualified as a family physician in 2023.

Today, she practises in Québec City, teaches at the medical school and supports organizations that serve vulnerable communities, particularly immigrants and women.

Her journey is a powerful reminder that reaching your goals can take patience, resilience and the courage to begin again.

We’re proud to have Dr. Uribe join us as we celebrate the dedication, perseverance and incredible achievements of our graduates.

Behind every confident pair of hands in a First Aid & CPR class is an instructor who takes that responsibility seriously.

Leanna Abraham teaches First Aid & CPR with Pulse Savers at Computek College. In class, she sees the moment students stop treating the manikin as a requirement and start treating it as someone’s life. That shift is the point of the training and it is the point of a Computek classroom.

Students walk in carrying work, family, and the pressure of starting over. They walk out with a skill they can use on day one, and a different sense of what they are capable of moving forward.

🎓 Less than two weeks to go until our 2026 Graduation Ceremony!

We’re honoured to welcome LCdr Mark Scuse of the Royal Canadian Navy as one of the special speakers joining us for this year’s celebration.

With 18 years of service in the Royal Canadian Navy, LCdr Scuse has held leadership roles across Intelligence, Standards, Deck and Operations. He currently serves as the Officer in Charge of HMCS YORK’s Oshawa Detachment and was recently awarded the King’s Coronation Medal in recognition of his work strengthening the naval presence in the Durham Region.

A proud resident of Clarington, LCdr Scuse is honoured to join us as we celebrate the dedication, perseverance and incredible achievements of our graduates.
