July's book of the month is 'The Dot' by Peter H. Reynolds. The children at Avenue Road Childcare discovered the inspiring journey of creativity and self-expression within its pages.

Adventure in every touch!

This month, to celebrate all our graduates at Stouffville Village Childcare, the children in the preschool room enjoyed listening to "I'm Going to Kindergarten" by Andrea Poster-Sanchez and illustration by Joanie Stone. This book follows a young child as they prepare for their first day of school. With colourful illustrations and an engaging story, it addresses the excitement and nervousness of starting kindergarten.

Science meets magic in our latest experiment: creating rainbows with sugar cubes!
Today, our young scientists got hands-on with an exciting project, mixing sugar cubes and water and watching as the magic unfolded. By carefully adding water, they observed how the colors blend and spread, forming beautiful, sugary rainbows!
This fun experiment teaches kids about absorption, color mixing, and the wonders of science—all while sparking creativity and curiosity. Who knew learning could be so sweet?
