But behind each beautiful material is a deeper idea. Behind every carefully prepared environment is a belief in the child.
As we celebrate Maria Montessori’s birthday, we are reminded that the materials are not simply objects for children to use. They are invitations to explore, discover, concentrate, problem solve, and build independence. They reflect a profound understanding of how children learn and grow.
